Gilley, City Manager <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />1997 Blue Ribbon Bond Committee <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />Feoruary 5, 1997 <br /> <br />The City Council has directed the creation of a temporary citizens committee to consider the <br />advisability of a General Obligation Bond Election to provide for major capital improvements. A <br />28 member committee will be appointed, with each City Council member appointing four <br />members. Broadly their charge will be to: <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Review the Horizons Master Plan and the City's 5-year Capital Improvements Program <br />Identify and prioritize critical public improvements project especially in the area of <br />transportation ** <br />Determine the resources needed to complete identified projects <br />Recommend to the City Council whether a bond election would be appropriate <br />Recommend the bond package amounts and timing of an election <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />** <br /> <br />Amended by City Council 2/10/97. <br /> <br /> <br />City Hall. 6.30 East Hopkins.
