He thinks the Council <br />has to be very careful to follow the oath of office in the defense <br />of the City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas and the <br />United States Government. His support for this Ordinance should not <br />be construed in any way of informing people how he plans as a <br />citizen to vote on this Ordinance. Mr. Mihalkanin agrees with the <br />Mayor this is not an appropriate level of government to be citing an <br />issue like this. It would be more appropriate to send this kind of <br />petition or referendum to the United States Congress or Texas State <br />Legislature.
