<br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2007 - 77 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE ALLOCA TION OF 2007 COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING; APPROVING A WAIVER OF <br />DEVELOPMENT CODE RELATED FEES FOR THE VILLAGE OF SAN <br />MARCOS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS THE <br />OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY IN MATTERS RELATED TO <br />THE CDBG PROGRAM AND ACTION PLAN AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The City has received notice from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development ("HUD") that entitlement funding has been approved under the Community <br />Development Block Grant ("CDBG") program for specific authorized programs for fiscal year <br />2007. <br /> <br />2. The City has solicited extensive citizen participation in determining the use of the <br />CDBG entitlement funds. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED SY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The following allocation of 2007 CDSG funding in the total amount of <br />$532,495.00 is approved: <br /> <br />CDBG Allocation Description <br /> <br />Amount <br /> <br />Southside Community Center <br />Habitat for Humanity <br />The Village of San Marcos <br />Program Administration <br /> <br />$ 85,000.00 <br />$ 70,000.00 <br />$ 283,460.00 <br />$ 94,035.00 <br /> <br />TOTAL: <br /> <br />$ 532,495.00 <br /> <br />PART 2. The City agrees to waive development code fees for the Village of San <br />Marcos to include, but not be limited to, application fees for zoning and land use requests, <br />watershed protection permit fees, platting process fees, site preparation permit fees, public <br />improvement construction plan permit fees, floodplain permit fees and driveway access permit <br />fees. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PART 3. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is designated as the official <br />representative of the City and is authorized to act in all matters related to the CDBG program and <br />submission of the Action Plan, amendments to the Action Plan, all understandings and <br />
