<br />Section 19. MICROFILMING CITY RECORDS. <br /> <br />City records may be microfilmed in accordance with this record management program, <br />state law and the administrative rules of the Texas state Library and Archives Commission. <br /> <br />Every department director shall coordinate the microfilming of a city record with the records <br />management officer and records coordinator. The records management officer and <br />records coordinator shall periodically review each departmenfs microfilm programs as to <br />administrative efficiency and compliance with this record management program, state law <br />and the administrative rules of the Texas state Library and Archives Commission. <br /> <br />Section 20. ELECTRONIC STORAGE OF CITY RECORDS. <br /> <br />The creation, maintenance, preservation, electronic document imaging, and storage of the <br />electronic records of the city must comply with this records management program, state law <br />and the administrative rules of the Texas state Library and Archives Commission. <br /> <br />Before a city record may be stored electronically, a department director must submit a <br />request for authorization for the electronic storage of the record to the records <br />management officer and records coordinator as required by this records management <br />program, state law and the administrative rules of the Texas state Library and Archives <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Section 21. RIGHT OF RECOVERY. <br /> <br />The city may demand and receive from any person any city record in private possession that <br />was created or received by the city, the removal of which was not authorized by law. <br /> <br />Section 22. PENALTY. <br /> <br />An officer or employee who knowingly or intentionally violates a provision of this chapter or a <br />requirement, policy, or procedure adopted under this chapter may be subject to <br />prosecution and penalties under the Local Government Records Act. <br /> <br />II.
