<br />6l <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1997-- <br /> <br />32 <br /> <br />R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A LETTER <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND EPIC LABORATORIES, INC. TO <br />EXTEND THE TERM OF THE ANALYTICAL SERVICES CONTRACT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT <br />ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On May 1, 1995 the City of San Marcos entered into an analytical services <br />contract with National Environmental Testing ("NET") for the provision of analytical <br />services. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />On May 13, 1996 the original contract was extended for an additional year. <br /> <br />3. On September 23, 1996 the City's contract with NET was assigned to EPIC <br />Laboratories, Inc. ("EPIC"). <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Both parties agree to an extension of the Contract for an additional year. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The attached letter agreement between the City of San Marcos and <br />EPIC to extend the term of the analytical services contract for a final year is approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the <br />agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 3. <br />after its passage. <br /> <br />This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 3 <br /> <br />day of MARCH <br /> <br />1997. <br /> <br />b~<ì. ~ <br /> <br />Billy G.
