i40. <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />June 9, 2003 Page 10 <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced the City Council Report. 1) Mr. Diaz <br />thanked Staff for their hard work in arranging the Santiago, Nuevo Leon, <br />Mexico visit. 2) Mr. Montoya stated he went to San Diego for the National <br />League of Cities Steering Committee meeting on economic development. He <br />stated he received information on what NLC will be asked to move forward <br />to Legislation. 3) Mayor Habingreither will be attending a Clean Air <br />Meeting in Austin, in which he put together a paper for the meeting. He <br />stated this paper is in regard to ozone problems. He also stated he will <br />not commit the City to anything the entire region does not agree to. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the <br />Government Code, Section 551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice <br />regarding pending litigation, contemplated litigation, a settlement offer, <br />or a matter involving attorney-client privilege (Carson vs. City of San <br />Marcos; Burkett vs. City of San Marcos); and Section 551.086 (76th Leg., <br />Ch. 1319) (Post Road area}.
