143. ORDINANCE 2003- 37. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 15.31 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1600 BLOCK OF POST ROAD AS "MF-3" MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT (HIGH DENSITY); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. RECITALS: i. On May 27, 2003, the Plmming and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to establish the zoning as "MF-3" Multi-Family District (High Density) for a 15.31 acre tract of property located in the 1600 Block of Post Road. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Plmming and Zoning Commission did, on May 27, 2003 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council beld a public hearing on the 2003, regarding the request. 9th day of June ., 4. Ali requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to zoning map amendments have been inet. 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to establish the zoning for the following real property which is presently unzoned as "MF-3" Multi-Family District (High Density): Street address: 1600 Block of Post Road.
