- ' Jill,
setup) and attempt to T.V. the line up to the original obstruction. Payment will be made
for manhole to manhole footage.
H. Lift Station Performance Testing
The lift stations will be tested to establish actual vs. design discharge capacity. Pump
performance will be evaluated for each pump and combination in order to identify
possible causes for system deficiencies, flow restrictions, and ability to transport
collection system flows.
Lift Station Performance Testing will be performed on approximately three (3) lift
stations. Depending on pump station design, motor selection and force main location,
one of the following methods will be utilized to determine pumping capacity of each
station:
.. '
1. Portable Non-Invasive Doppler Ultrasonic Flow Measurement - station pumping
capacity to be determined by measuring flow on full pipes (force main).
2. Draw-down Tests - § "draw-down" test will involve volumetric analysis over
typical pumping cycles to compare against the rated pump performance. At
least two (2) tests will be performed. .
I. Source Defect Analysis
1. All field data collected will be input into a software program for analysis (PIPE@).
PIPE@ (Physical Inventory Point-Source Evaluation) is a data inventory and
defect analysis tool which will be used by ADS to inventory and prioritize each
defect.
2. All identified structural and maintenance defects, and physical data collected
during the field inspection phase will be' inventoried and analyzed. Data from
existing reports, maps, as-built drawings, etc., may also be provided and
incorporated into the database.
3. The CITY has the option to obtain this program for general operation and
maintenance of the sewer system.
J. Final Report
Following the completion of all field activities, three (3) copies of a comprehensive draft
report will be provided to the CITY presenting a summary of all field and office
activities, results of analyses, and recommendations.
G:\OA LLAS\CO NTRA ClìSMA R C bô.
