<br /> )1:811- <br /> Bin - Metal receptacle used to store refuse, designed to be lifted and emptied <br /> mechanically. <br /> Bulky waste - Stoves, refrigerators (certified free offreon), water tanks, washing machines, <br /> furniture and other waste materials other than construction debris, dead animals, <br /> hazardous waste or stable matter with weights or volumes greater than those allowed for <br /> bins, carts or containers. <br /> Bundle - Tree, shrub and brush trimmings or newspapers and magazines securely tied <br /> together forming an easily handled package not exceeding four feet in length or 35 Ibs. in <br /> weight. <br /> Cart - Plastic container with attached lid and wheels. <br /> City - The City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> Collection - The removal and transportation of materials from the pickup point to the <br /> approved processing site. <br /> Commercial and Industrial Refuse - All bulky waste, construction debris, garbage, rubbish <br /> or stable matter, generated by a producer at a commercial or industrial unit. <br /> Commercial or Industrial Unit - Any premise, location or entity, public' or private, requiring <br /> refuse collection within the contract area that is not a residential unit. <br /> Construction Debris - Waste building materials resulting from construction, remodeling, <br /> repair, or demolition operations of all types of buildings. <br /> Contract or Contract Documents - The Contract or Contract Documents will consist of the <br /> following: This Contract, the request for proposals, BFI's proposal, addenda, the <br /> performance bond, contract area maps, insurance certificates, and supplemental <br /> agreements or amendments. The terms Contract and Contract Documents have the same <br /> meaning. <br /> Contract Area - The City of San Marcos city limits, as they now exist or may be amended <br /> in the future. <br /> Curbside Collection - Collection service rendered at a residence or duplex not served by <br /> an alley, public utility easement or other public way in the rear or alongside thereof, <br /> involving the placement of containers for collection just behind the curb of the street <br /> abutting such property. <br /> Dead Animals - Animals or portions thereof equal to or greater than 10 Ibs. in weight that <br /> have expired from any cause, except those slaughtered or killed for human use. <br /> 2 <br />
