<br /> 105 <br /> RESOLUTION 1997- 149 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, NOMINATING CANDIDATES AND SEEKING THE <br /> ENDORSEMENT BY THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE FOR <br /> COMMITTEES OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES; AND DECLARING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. It is in the interest and welfare of the citizens of the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, to have direct representation before the National League of Cities through the <br /> membership by City Council Member(s) on the various committees of the National League <br /> of Cities. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The following City Council Members are nominated as candidates for <br /> appointment to the following respective committees of the National League of Cities: <br /> Candidate Committee <br /> Billy G. Moore Community and Economic Development <br /> Steering Committee <br /> Joe Cox Energy, Environment and Natural <br /> Resources Steering Committee <br /> PART 2. The endorsement of the above-named candidates by the Texas Municipal <br /> League for appointment to National League of Cities Board of Directors and committees <br /> is sought. <br /> PART 3. A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Texas Municipal <br /> League in order that it be received on or before October 8, 1997. <br /> PART 4.
