<br /> 120 <br /> RESOLUTION 1997-_15R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING A JOINT ELECTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND HAYS COUNTY FOR THE HOLDING OF A <br /> JOINT ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 4, 1997; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, finds and determines that <br /> it is in the best interest of the City to cooperate with Hays County in holding a special <br /> election on November 4, 1997. <br /> 2. Hays County is willing to participate in holding a joint special election on that <br /> date. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The Joint Election Agreement attached to this Resolution between the <br /> City of San Marcos and Hays County for holding a joint special election on November 4, <br /> 1997 is approved. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the <br /> agreement on behalf of the City of San Marcos. <br /> PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. <br /> ADOPTED this the 22nd day of September, 1997. <br /> PJ~ <&. ~ <br /> Billy G.
