<br /> 150 <br /> RESOLUTION 1997- 168 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN <br /> A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE CAPITAL AREA PLANNING <br /> COUNCIL FOR A HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE <br /> COLLECTION PROGRAM; COMMITTING CITY FUNDING TO THE <br /> PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The Capital Area Planning Council (CAPCO) is offering grants to area <br /> governmental entities to assist in funding household hazardous waste collection programs. <br /> 2. The City wishes to join with Hays County to submit an application to CAPCO <br /> for participation in this program. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The City's participation with Hays County in a grant application to CAPCO <br /> for a household hazardous waste collection program is approved, and the City Manager, <br /> Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute grant application documents on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 2. The City agrees to commit funding of up to $16,000 towards the cost of <br /> this program if the grant application is approved and funded by CAPCO. <br /> PART 3.
