<br /> Pr <br /> Program A-Grants for Dial-up Access <br /> Eligible applicants are public libraries that do not have Internet access for the general public with an annual circulation of <br /> less than 100.000 with an Internet point-of-presence available in the local calling area. Libraries that have already <br /> received a TSL Internet grant are not eligible for this grant. <br /> Grants will not exceed S I 0,000 for a basic Internet-conn~tivity package2 that includes: <br /> 1. Monthly telecommunications costs for a dial-up conn~tion (ISDN required where available, SLIPIPPP <br /> otherwise) for the demonstration of the project.) This includes Internet Service Provider (ISP) costs. <br /> 2. Installation fees <br /> 3. Two PCs with at minimum a three-year on-site maintenance agreement <br /> 4. Transportation stipend to required TIF TraininglKickoff (S5oo limit) <br /> A library with an annual circulation of less than 100,000 may be eligible for Program B if they meet ALL of the <br /> following criteria: <br /> 1. Has a functioning network (LAN or WAN) in the library or among the library buildings <br /> 2. Provides patron access to a public access library catalog through the network <br /> 3. With the addition of necessary software, hardware, and telecommunications, the public access library catalog <br /> software can support a telnet, http, or 239.50 connection to the Internet <br /> 4. By the end of the grant period, the public access library catalog shall be accessible over the Internet via <br /> telnet, http, or 239.50. <br /> Program B-Grants for Direct Access <br /> Eligible applicants are public libraries that do not have dedicated Internet access with an annual circulation of more than <br /> 100.000. The purpose of this program is to provide a base-level Internet connection for medium-sized and large public <br /> libraries that currently have limited Internet connectivity.6 Libraries who have already received a TSL Internet grant are <br /> not eligible for this grant. <br /> 'ants wiJ1 not exceed $ I 00,000, with $50,000 being the maximum amount funded for one site.
