U...' m...c <br />w'" '"} L!.J~ <br /> <br />~~ ~ ",- ORDINANCE NO. 1997 -68 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET <br />ORDINANCE FOR THE 1996-97 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE <br />FOR END-OF-YEAR RECONCILIATION OF REVENUES AND <br />EXPENDITURES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. In accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires amendment <br />of the City's 1996-97 budget. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Budget Ordinance for the 1996-97 Fiscal Year is amended <br />as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, in order to provide for end-of-year reconciliation of <br />revenues and expenditures. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. These revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended <br />budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1996-97, are approved and <br />adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an <br />imperative public necessity, and the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances be <br />presented at three separate meetings, and that ordinances do not take effect until 1 0 days <br />after the date of final passage are suspended, and this Ordinance will take effect upon <br />publication of notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of November, 1997. <br /> <br /> <br />fJ~~i~ <br /> <br />Billy G.
