<br /> 89 <br /> RESOLUTION 1996-29R <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING FINAi~CIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE TEXAS <br />WATER DEVELOPMENT BOARD; AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN <br />APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE; DESIGNATING AN 0 FFI CIAL <br />REPRESENTATIVE; Ai'ID CONTAINING MATTERS RELATED THERETO <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas (the "City") proposes to construct additions and <br />improvements to its sanitary sewer system (the "Project") and to issue obligations to finance a portion of the cost <br />of the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, this City Council has deternlined that the City cannot reasonably finance the Project without <br />assistance from the Texas Water Development Board; Now, Therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNC~ OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS: <br />Section 1. The statements contained in the preamble of this Resolution are true and correct and are <br />adopted as findings of fact. <br />Section 2. By this Resolution, the City requests financial assistance from the Texas Water Development <br />Board out of the State Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund, to finance the costs of the Project and authorizes <br />the submission of an application for financial assistance to the Texas Water Development Board. <br />Section 3. The Mayor of the City is hereby designated as the City's authorized representative for the <br />purposes of providing such infonnation and executing such documents as may be necessary or appropriate in <br />connection \vith the preparation, filing and prosecution of such application for fmancial assistance. . <br /> , <br />Section 4.
