<br /> - C(jß <br /> TEXAS DEP ARTlVIENT OF-TRANSPORT A TION <br /> ST A TE\VIDE TRANSPORTATION ENHANCElYIENT PROGRAlYI <br /> INSTRUCTIONS <br /> FOR PREPARING AND COlVIPLETING THE NOIVIINATION FORIVI <br /> THIRD CALL <br /> .- <br /> The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway <br /> Administration (FHW A), is pleased to announce the third call for project nominations for the <br /> Statewide Transportation Enhancement Program. An original and ten copies of the completed <br /> nomination form must be submitted to a TxDOT district office by 5:00 p.m., lVIay 1, 1996. A <br /> list of TxDOT district offices and TxDOT district enhancement coordinators is included in the <br /> program guide and at the end of the nomination form. This is the final call for projects authorized <br /> under the IntermoOdál Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991. <br /> These instructions are to assist you in completing the project nomination form. The instructions <br /> follow items in the nomination form page by page and item by item. <br /> TxDOT enhancement project files are stored in standard 8 Y2 x 11 file cabinets. All doèuments <br /> submitted must be in this form and must be capable of storage in thesê cabinets. Project <br /> nominations and accompanying documents should be stapled; not spiral bound or placed in binders. <br /> Oversized documents or special binding will delay the processing of all applications. <br /> The enhancement project nomination form has been designed to be as simple as possible. The amount <br /> of information required for each item on each page is limited. TxDOT requests that each question <br /> be answered fully. Funds spent in completing the nomination form, or expended for any other <br /> purpose prior to selection by the Texas Transportation Commission and approval by the FillV A, are <br /> not reimbursable. Non-request~d supporting documentation will only delay the nomination process. <br /> The nomination form requires specific project location information. The project description and <br /> . . budgets are important and should offer project-specific details. Estimates of costs can be approxi- <br /> mate but should reflect the funds needed to implement the project in its entirety.
