U: . . \[) .--' ..J - - ...=: ~ ;~ ORDINANCE 19;6-~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING LOT 80, SOUTH END ADDITION LOCATED AT 807 ARIZONA STREET FROM "R- 1" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) TO "MR" MOBILE HOME AND RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. RECITALS: 1. On M?y 14, 1996, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "R-1" Single- Family Dwelling District (Low Density) to "MR" Mobile Home and Residential District for Lot 80, South End Addition located at 807 Arizona Street. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission did, on May 14, 1996 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 24th day of June , 1996, regarding the request. 4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property which is presently zoned "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) to "MR" Mobile Home and Residential District: Street address: 807 Arizona Street Legal description: Lot 80, of South End Addition. Deed or plat reference: Volume 55, pages 600-601, Hays County Deed Records. SECTION 2. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 1.015 of the San Marcos City Code. SECTION 3. After its original passage, this ordinance will be subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting. If this ordinance is not reconsidered, or if it is reconsidered and approved, notice of its adoption will be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. This ordinance will take effect upon publication of this notice. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24 day of June ,1996, subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting scheduled for July 8, 1996..
