The first public hearing was held on <br />Wednesday, June 5th in Council Chambers. The second public hearing was held on Thursday, June <br />6th at the Mitchell Opportunity Center, located at 715 Valley S1. During both public hearings, staff <br />was available to receive citizen's comments ITom 7:00 PM to 10:00 Pl'vL The date, time and location <br />of the public hearings was published as a legal notice in two consecutive Sunday papers of the San <br />Marcos Daily Record. A front page article outlining the purpose of the public hearings was published <br />on Sunday, June 2nd. Notices of the public hearings were also announced on an area radio station, <br />as well as the local cable channel. During the public hearings citizens were asked to provide input <br />as to what they felt the community needed with regards to CDBG funding. A form was provided for <br />those who either wanted their comments both on the record as well as in ""TIting, and those who <br />preferred not to speak during the hearing. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Five citizens spoke at the public hearing on June 5th, while twenty-five citizens provided input on <br />June 6th. One citizen attended and spoke at both public hearings.
