<br /> 18 <br /> RESOLUTION 1996- - 120 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS; <br /> TEXAS APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.1 TO THE CONSTRUCTION <br /> CONTRACT FOR THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS BUILDING RENOVATION <br /> PROJECT; APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO STOKES CONSTRUCTION <br /> COMPANY FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> BUILDING RENOVATION PROJECT; ACCEPTING THE PROJECT FOR <br /> -- USE BY THE CITY; AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> ' <br /> I $101,983.25; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The City of San Marcos engaged the services of Stokes Construction <br /> Company ("Contractor") for the completion of the City of San Marcos Building Renovation <br /> Project. <br /> 2. These services were provided pursuant to a contract between the City and <br /> the Contractor, executed on March 28, 1995. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: ~ <br /> PART 1. The attached Amendment No.1 to the Construction Contract between <br /> the City and the Contractor for the completion of the City of San Marcos Building <br /> Renovation Project is approved. <br /> PART 2. The project known as the City of San Marcos Roof Repair Project has <br /> been completed pursuant to that contract of March 28, 1995 between the City and Stokes <br /> Construction Company and is accepted for use by the City of San Marcos. <br /> PART 3. Payment in the amount of $101,983.25 to Stokes Construction <br /> Company in full and final payment for these services is authorized. <br /> PART 4.
