<br /> IJolt <br /> the CITY. Any work or services subcontracted hereunder shall be specified by written <br /> Agreement and shall be subject to each provision of this Agreement. Any provisions in the <br /> Agreement pertaining to the CITY's review, approval and lor acceptance of plans, - <br /> specifications, construction contract documents, or other written materials prepared by <br /> ARCHITECT and/or its consultants, contractors, and subcontractors in connection with this <br /> Project will not diminish ARCHITECTS's responsibility therefor. <br /> 1.2 PHASE 1 - PRELIMINARY DESIGN <br /> Measured Drawings/Electronic Data Base <br /> The ARCHITECT will: <br /> 1.2.1 The ARCHITECT will perform onsite measurements of the San Marcos Electric <br /> Utility Building, Recreation Hall and Dunbar Building. <br /> 1.2.2 Develop a data base of existing floor plan and site plan drawings based on the <br /> onsite measurements and existing floor plan and site plan drawings of the Rio Vista Pool, <br /> Buildings and Police Headquarters provided to the ARCHITECT by the CITY. These <br /> documents will be prepared utilizing computer aided design and drafting equipment (CAD), <br /> which will provide for an electronic data base of existing conditions. <br /> . <br /> 1.2.3 Develop design sketches to determine floor plan and site plan modifications required <br /> for accessibility compliance based on the electronic data base developed by the <br /> ARCHITECT, the site grading information and ADA survey provided by the CITY and the <br /> previous assessment work prepared by the ARCHITECT. . The ARCHITECT will submit <br /> these designs to the CITY for review and approval. <br /> 1.2.4 Provide the CITY with a written opinion of probable construction cost for <br /> the CITY's review and approval. <br /> 1.2.5 Assemble a Project team comprised. of the CITY's representatives, the <br /> ARCHITECT, and a firm representative from each major consulting discipline. The <br /> ARCHITECT will meet with the Project team representatives to set the design and <br /> production schedule and parameters for all subsequent work, to verify the components <br /> within which all Project participants must perform, and to identify all parties and significant <br /> deadlines involved in the comprehensive schedule strategy. Based on this information, the <br /> ARCHITECT will prepare a detailed schedule of its work for the Project addressing each <br /> component of the work to be done, indicating the points of involvement of'all project <br /> participants. The ARCHITECT will conduct weekly progress meetings between the Project <br /> team and the Contractor once the construction contract is executed. <br /> 1.3 PHASE 2 - FINAL DESIGN DEVELOPMENT, CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br /> DOCUMENTATION AND BIDDING <br /> 2 <br />
