<br />J <br />'Q~ 'f it) 11 <br />c - Li:i 2; <br />11J;; r-I c::: .~. <br />~ <:.;) <br />:..so r-I .¡.J . <br />ü:~ ~ ~; ORDINANCE NO. 1-996-=-8JL <br /><t 0 c.;) <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET <br />ORDINANCE FOR THE 1996-97 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE <br />FUNDING FOR THE KENCON CONSTRUCTORS LAWSUIT <br />SETTLEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. In accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires amendment <br />of the City's 1996-97 budget. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Budget Ordinance for the 1996-97 Fiscal Year is amended <br />as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, in order to provide funds for the Kencon Constructors <br />lawsuit Settlement. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. These revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended <br />budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1996-91, are approved and <br />adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an <br />imperative public necessity, and the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances be <br />presented at three separate meetings, and that ordinances do not take effect until 10 days <br />after the date of final passage are suspended, and this Ordinance will take effect upon <br />publication of notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of December, 1996. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />~~~re~ <br />Mayor <br />Attest: <br />cJ.ðff4 %,~) <br /> <br />Janis K.
