<br /> 189 <br /> RESOLUTION 1995- 3 4R. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, EXPRESSING THE CITY'S <br /> SUPPORT FOR S,B, 418, AND H.B. 1064 PENDING IN THE <br /> 74TH TEXAS LEGISLATURE, REGARDING MANAGEMENT <br /> OF THE EDWARDS AQUIFER; AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1, The City Council expressed its general position on State legislation involving the <br /> Edwards Aquifer in a resolution adopted January 23, 1995. <br /> 2, Senator Ken Armbrister has filed the attached S. B. 418 and Representative Ron <br /> Lewis has filed the attached companion bill, H.B. 1064, to address concerns under the <br /> federal Voting Rights Act that have prevented implementation of S.B. 1477, passed in 1993 <br /> by the 73rd Texas Legislature, <br /> 3.
