<br /> -7- 12~ <br /> ARTICLE 2 - CEMETERY COMMISSION. <br /> Sec. 6-14. Established; memberships and terms of <br /> commission. <br /> (a) The cemetery commission is established. <br /> (b) The commission will consist of 7 members who will <br /> be appointed by the city council. <br /> (c) The terms of office of members will be staggered. <br /> The terms of 3 members will expire in June of odd-numbered <br /> years and the other 4 terms will expire on the date of the <br /> first regular city council meeting in June of even-numbered <br /> years. Terms will be for 2 years. <br /> Sec. 6-15. Purpose. <br /> The purpose of the commission is to act as a liaison <br /> between the city staff and citizens to determine citizen <br /> expectations and give recommendations to the city council <br /> for budget, maintenance, projects and special programs at <br /> the cemetery based on these expectations. <br /> ~ <br /> Sec. 6-16. Responsibilities. <br /> The commission will: <br /> (a) provide a yearly report to the city council on <br /> cemetery progress, programs, needs and other <br /> matters of concern; <br /> (b) plan special projects at the cemetery, such as <br /> historical or genealogy searches and the opening of <br /> new sections; <br /> (c) make city staff aware of special problems, <br /> including, but not limited to, violations of the <br /> maintenance contract and vandalism; <br /> (d) meet periodically with city staff to develop <br /> projects, discuss problems, plan capital <br /> improvements, discuss budgets and funding and <br /> consider other matters of concern; <br /> (e) present plans to the city council for needed <br /> improvements, including, but not limited to, fence <br /> repairs and water line improvements, and make <br /> recommendations on such improvements; <br /> (f) review bids for the cemetery maintenance contract <br /> and engineering work to be prepared at the cemetery <br /> and make recommendations for selection of persons <br /> to perform said work; and <br /> (g) monitor the financial standing of the cemetery and <br /> make recommendations for changes. <br /> SECTION 2. That the following lot prices, perpetual care <br />fees and minimum monthly payments, and other fees related to the <br />San Marcos Cemetery, are established: <br />Lots in Dixon Addition, Section I: <br />Indigent burials . . .$25.00 <br />Reserved lots next to relatives. . .$85.00 <br />All lots other than those in the Dixon Addition, Section I: <br />NUMBER OF LOT COSTS PERPETUAL TOTAL COSTS MINIMUM MONTHLY <br />LOTS CARE COSTS PAYMENTS <br />1 $ 85.00 $ 315.00 $ 400.00 $ 20.00 <br />
