<br /> 17 <br /> RESOLUTION 1995- 41 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. <br /> 6 TO EXTEND THE JANITORIAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR <br /> NINETY DAYS¡ AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br /> 1. On February 28¡ 1991 the City of San Marcos <br />entered into a contract with Maintenance Management for <br />janitorial services. <br /> 2. Subsequently, both parties agreed to three <br />additional extension periods of one year each. <br /> 3. The contract period expires on February 28, <br />1995 and the City has opened bids for a new j ani torial <br />contract, but requires more time for the selection process <br />due to the difficulty in qualifying bidders. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That Supplemental Agreement No. 6 between <br />the City and Maintenance Management, to extend the janitorial <br />services agreement for ninety days as an exemption from <br />bidding requirements¡ in order to protect the public health <br />and safety of the City's residents, a copy of which <br />supplemental agreement is attached to and incorporated in <br />this Resolution for all intents and purposes is approved. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley is <br />authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3.
