This agreement is enterci iinto by the partie~s pursuant to the authority and pD\1wer conferred upon the Depart::rD~t of Licensing anad Regulation by Article 5221f, Texas FRevised Civil Statutes of Texas, the T~~x.a.s Manufacmreed Housing Standards Act (hereinafte.~r referred to as "TMHSA"). WHERE-\.S_..under the provisions of the TMHS.A. -::::mLR is responsible for the appr~~ ~ :md inspection of ::manufactured housing to assure that ::"SUch complies with the regulations.. e=odes and stanè.arŒ:is required for the construction and Ìn5stallation of manufactured housing ill the State of Tex:ras, and whereas, the City desires to .~enter into an agreement to inspec __and enforce activvities relating to the construction of :Îoundation systems and the erectioIL ~and installation oaf manufactured housing at homesite5:3 within said City. NOW TIŒIREFORE, intending to be legally bounnd hereby, the parties, in considela:illrm of the inspectioDllS to be performed by the City for TIDLR their mutual covenants, aru: CDther good and valùuable consideration, it is mutually ag:g:reed as follows: (1) This agreement shall be in effecr for the period of January 15, 19<J55 to January 15, 1996. (2) Following the date of this agree~ent, the inspection responsibi.:E;:y for manufactured housing to be locaree.d within the incorporated boun(b:-:~s of said City shall be divided between -=-rDLR and the City as hereinafter ='::::teed to in this contract. (3) TDLR shall inspect all consuucr:tion of manufactured housing ar:: the manufacturing construction plant orr facility. (4) The City shall inspect all on-site innstallation construction of manllrn----rnred housing within the incorporated oouundaries of the City.
