The San Marcos Breakfast Lions Club (the "Service") operates a taxi service within <br />the City to transport persons using inner tubes to and from the San Marcos River under a <br />franchise granted by the City Council in Ordinance 1 9S9-63. <br /> <br />2. On March 6, 1995, the Service notified the City Council of its intent to increase its <br />rate of fare for the taxi service from $1.25/person to $1.50/person. <br /> <br />3. Notice of this proposed increase was published in the San Marcos Daily Record on <br />March 19, ,1995. <br /> <br />4. The City Council conducted a public hearing on the proposed increase on <br />March 27, ,1995. < <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That SECTION 5 of Ordinance 1 9S9-63 is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 5. Rate of Fare: The rate of fare for the transportation of persons and <br />property by Service shall be $1.50/person. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That all other provisions of Ordinance 1 9S9-63 remain in full force and <br />effect. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days from and after its <br />passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as <br />required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading March 27, 1995. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading April 10, 1995. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED April 24, 1995. <br /> <br />l U\Jl.~ <br /> <br />Kathy M.
