/'J-~4f WiLTEL Park & Recreation Environmentals and SITE INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS NORTHERN TELECOM MERIDIAN OPTION 11 SYSTEM Your new Option 11 digital communication system is a modern electronic device. As such, it will require a proper environment and stable source of power to insure the integrity of the system's operation. The following requirements are extremely important and must be satisfied. PHYSICAL SPACE Relative to system size and associated peripheral equipment, the Meridian system will require the following space: Single Cabinet 6'H x 4'W Dual Cabinet 8'H x 4'W Also, a minimum of three (3) feet clearance is required in front of the equipment. ENVIRONMENT The Option 11 System recommended operating environment should be maintained within 65°F and 80°F. Environments containing abnormally high humidity should be avoided as it may cause condensation of metal surfaces and consequently produce corrosion. Additionally, avoid placing the system in environments where dust or other airborne contaminants are present. The Meridian system must be located no less than thirteen (l3) feet from a copy machine. J?OWER The Option 11 system power supplies will require one (I) 117VAC isolated ground type receptacle (orange) per power supply. The power circuit should originate from the main electrical service panel of the nearest transformer. The associated isolated ground provided from Building Electrical Earth Ground and the ground conductor should be at least the same size or larger than the power conductors. Direct connection to building structural steel for a ground is to be avoided. As proposed, your Option 11 system will require the following receptacle(s): Qty. of Hubble Circuit Ouantity Receptacle Part No. Breaker Cabinets 2 ea. 2 IGS-15R Dedicated Power Strips 1 ea. 1 IG5-15R Dedicated TOTAL 3 OTHER - WATER FLOODING - Avoid placing equipment where the possibility of water damage exists (i.e., under water pipes). - ACCESSIBILITY - The common equipment must be easily accessible and its location must allow working room for at least one (1) man. - CABLE - Due to differing fire/building codes in Wiltel's serving area, some locations may require Teflon@-sheathed cable or cable installed in conduit when residing in return air plenums. Unless otherwise stated, thè cable in this proposal is not Teflon cable. If Teflon cable is found to be required, the appropriate charges will be passed on to the CUstomer or the Customer will be responsible for providing the necessary conduit. *Misc. - Customer is responsible for providing an appropriate computer/data entry terminal desk if system is equipped with a maintenance/administration terminal or other similar m (EG. - call accounting system).
