16 RESOLUTION NO. 1995 - 84R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF 1995 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE - CITY TO ACT IN MATTERS RELATED TO THE GRANT ¡ PROGRAM AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. r I RECITALS: 1. The City has received notice from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that enti tlement funding has been approved under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for specific authorized programs for fiscal year 1995. 2. The San Marcos City Council has conducted a public hearing regarding funding requests from the community for the use of the CDBG entitlement funds. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: .. PART 1. That, as to the $680,800 in CDBG funding expected to be provided to the City, the allocation of 1995 CDBG funding as described in the "Proposed Funding" column on the spreadsheet which is attached to and incorporated in this Resolution is approved. PART 2. That any 1995 CDBG funding in excess of $680,800 provided to the City is allocated 25% to i Hays-Caldwell Council on Alcohol and Druq Abuse and 75% to The Downtown Sidewalk Project. PART 3. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is designated as the official representative of the City and is authorized to act in all matters related to the submission of the final statement, amendments to the final statement, all understandings and assurances contained in the final statement and to provide additional information as required on behalf of the City.
