<br /> J . 20 <br /> AGREEMENT FOR LEASE OF PREMISES <br /> - <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this ~ day of May, <br /> 1995, by and between the CITY OF SAN MARCOS, whose address is 630 East <br /> Hopkins Street, San Marcos, Texas 78666, ("Lessor") and ABUNDANT LIFE <br /> CHRISTIAN CHURCH, whose address is P.O. Box 1350, San Marcos, Texas <br /> 78667-1350 ("Lessee"). <br /> In consideration of the mutual convenants to be performed, the <br /> . parties hereto agree as follows: <br />1. DESCRIPTION OF LEASED PREMISES: Lessor does hereby lease, demise <br /> and let unto Lessee the ground floor interior (sanctuary portion) of <br /> the building situated at 222 West San Antonio Street in San Marcos, <br /> Texas, approximately 1,600 square feet, and including access to the <br /> first floor restrooms in the East wing of the building. <br /> 2. TERM: Week-to-week beginning on the 9th day of May, 1995. Either <br /> party may terminate this lease by giving one week's written notice to <br /> the other party. <br /> 3. RENTAL: SEVENTY-FIVE and 00/100 DOLLARS ($ 75.00) per week. <br /> 4. USE OF THE PREMISES: The Leased Premises shall be used for church <br /> related activities by the Lessee. The Leased Premises shall. not be <br /> used for any other type of activity without the written consent of the <br /> Lessor. <br /> 5. UTILITIES: Lessee shall promptly pay all charges for electricity, <br /> gas, telephone services, water, wastewater and garbage services. <br /> 6. INDEMNIFICATION AND INSURANCE: <br /> a. Lessee shall indemnify and hold Lessor harmless from any and <br /> all claims (including attorney's fees) of others for injuries to <br />! !?ersons or property arising out of Lessee's occupancy of the Leased <br /> Premises. <br /> b. Lessee shall maintain adequate insurance on Lessee's personal <br /> property located within the Leased Premises. <br />7. ASSIGNMENT AND SUBLETTING: Lessee may not assign this Lease or <br /> sublet the Leased Premises. <br /> 8. CONDITION OF PREMISES: MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS: <br /> a. Lessee accepts the Leased Premises in their present condition, <br /> and without warranty by Lessor as to the condition of the premises or <br /> their suitability for any use by Lessee. <br />
