<br /> , 46 <br /> <br /> <br /> INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br /> State of Texas <br /> ¡ <br /> : County of Hays <br /> The City of San Marcos ("City") and the Capital Area <br /> Rural Transportation System (" CARTS") enter into this <br /> Interlocal Agreement under the authority of the Interlocal <br /> Cooperation Act, Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, as <br /> amended, in connection with the placement of signage for the <br /> new transit 'system to be implemented by CARTS in San Marcos. <br /> 1. Services. Services to be provided by under this <br /> agreement are as follows: <br /> (a) The City will install transit system signage at <br /> locations designated in writing by CARTS. City <br /> will complete installation of the signage within <br /> four weeks from the date of delivery of the signs <br /> and poles to the City. <br /> (b) CARTS will provide to the City 129 transit system <br /> signs with poles and written placement <br /> instructions. <br /> 2. Compensation. <br /> I (a) CARTS will pay the City the sum of $9,aOO.Oo for <br /> the performance of serv~ces descr.ibed in Section 1 of this <br /> agreement. Payment will be made to the City within l5 days <br /> of CARTS' receipt of an invoice from City. <br /> 3. Miscellaneous. <br /> (a) Either party may terminate this agreement by giving <br /> 15 days advance written notice to the other party. <br /> (b) Each party to this agreement will pay for its <br /> performance of functions or services under this agreement <br /> from current revenues available to it. <br /> (c) This agreement will take effect immediately upon <br /> execution by both parties and will inure to the benefit of <br /> City Hall. 630 East Hopkins.
