<br /> );)f: <br /> -7- <br /> 1.7 ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br /> 1. 7.1 Additional services will be provided by ENGINEER if <br /> authorized or confirmed in writing by the CITY and compensation will be <br /> in addition to that specified for basic services, in accordance with <br /> Section 13.2.1 of this Agreement. An amendment to this Agreement is <br /> necessary for all additional services the compensation for which <br /> exceeds $15,000. Additional services will include resident project <br /> representation, construction staking, additional topographic and <br /> easement surveys, and redesign required once the final design phase has <br /> begun if these service are requested by the CITY. <br /> ARTICLE 2 <br /> THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> 2.1 The CITY will provide full information to the ENGINEER regarding <br /> requirements for the Project. Such information will include the <br /> location of the wastewater main to be used for the project outfall, <br /> construction plans for all CITY utilities that could be affected by the <br /> Project, and the CITY's design objectives, constraints and criteria. <br /> 2.2 The CITY will provide a budget for the Project which will include <br /> contingencies for bidding, changes in the work during construction, and <br /> other costs which are the responsibility of the CITY, including those <br /> described in this Article 2 and in Subsection 3.1.2. The ENGINEER will <br /> accept the CITY's authorization to bid the proj ect .as evidence that <br /> arrangements exist for fulfillment of the financial obligations assumed <br /> by the CITY hereunder. <br /> 2.3 The CITY will designate a representative authorized to act in the <br /> CITY's behalf with respect to the Project. The CITY and/or such <br /> authorized representative will examine the documents submitted by the <br /> ENGINEER and will render responses pertaining thereto promptly and <br /> provide ENGINEER with requested data or information in CITY's <br /> possession relating to the Project. <br /> 2.4 The CITY will provide access to and make all necessary provisions <br /> for the ENGINEER to enter upon public and private property as required <br /> for the ENGINEER to perform its services under this Agreement. <br /> 2.5 .The CITY will furnish a geotechnical report regarding soil <br /> conditions of the site. <br /> 2.6 The CITY will furnish all legal, accounting and insurance <br /> counseling services as may be necessary at any time for the Project, <br /> including such auditing services as the CITY may require to ascertain <br /> how or for what purposes the Contractor used the money paid by or on <br /> behalf of the CITY. <br /> 2.7 The CITY will furnish required information and services and will <br /> render responses and conduct its review of written materials as <br /> expeditiously as possible. <br /> 2.8 The CITY will pay all costs incident to obtaining bids or <br /> proposals from Contractors (e. g., legal notice requirements and the <br /> provision of the City facilities for necessary conferences). <br />
