Regular Meeting May 1, 2007 Page 8 Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerrero moved for adoption of Zoning Ordinance, and Ms. Robertson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration the reconsideration of adoption of a Zoning Ordinance. The Council choice not to reconsider the Zoning Ordinance, the caption reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MAROCS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM "VLDR" VERY LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO "P" PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL, FOR A 76.06 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 325 MCCARTY LANE; FOR AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING THIS TRACT FROM "FD" FUTURE DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT TO "P" PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration removal from the table and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF PERSONAL COMPUTERS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM DELL MARKETING THROUGH THE TEXAS BUILDING AND PROCUREMENT COMMISSION'S DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION RESOURCES ( "DIR ") PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE APPROPRIATE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS WITH THE STATE OF TEXAS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Guerrero moved to remove the Resolution from the table, and Ms. Robertson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Jones moved for adoption of Resolution, and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated this Resolution is to replace 21 computers in the Police Department. Mayor Narvaiz stated part of these computers will be recycled and go to Gary and then to children with no computers. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution.
