<br />38 <br /> <br />AMENDED HISTORIC RESOURCES SURVEY AGREEME:NT <br /> <br />This AGREEMENT is made this the 25th day of July r <br />19~, between the CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, hereinafter <br />referred to as "CITY", 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666, <br />and RALPH NEWLAN, lOOOB ALTA VISTA, AUSTIN, TEXAS 78704 and LILA. <br />KNIGHT, l35 PARK SOUTH DRIVE, KYLE, TEXAS 78640 hereinafter <br />referred to as "CONSULTANTS", for the the performance of a <br />historic resources survey of the Dunbar and East Guadalupe Street <br />neighborhoods as part of the Certified Local Government Grant <br />Program. This project will be partially funded with a grant from <br />the U. S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, as <br />administered by the Texas Historical Commission. <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: CITY and CONSULTANTS agree as follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE l <br />CONSULTANTS' SERVICES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />l.O STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE <br /> <br />1.0.1 The CONSULTANTS will be responsible for the performance <br />of a historic resources survey to include all pre-1950 buildings, <br />structures, and objects within the Dunbar and East Guadalupe <br />Street Neighborhoods of San Marcos (Attachment A) in accordance <br />with the applicable grant guidelines, hereinafter referred to as <br />the "proj ect" . <br /> <br />1.0.2 The CONSULTANTS certify that all survey team personnel <br />meet at least one of the five criteria specified in the U. S. <br />Secretary of Interiors Standards for Professional Qualifications. <br />These specifications are attached to and incorporated in this <br />Agreement (Attachment B) . <br /> <br />1. 0.3 <br />with this <br />exercised <br />expertise <br /> <br />The CONSULTANTS will perform all services in connection <br />Agreement using that degree of care and skill ordinarily <br />by historic preservation consultants who possess special <br />in conducting historic resources surveys for cities. <br /> <br />1.0.4 CONSULTANTS will accomplish the Project in coordination <br />with the CITY, a representative of the National Register <br />Department of the Texas Historical Commission, and the San Marcos <br />Historic Preservation Commission. CONSULTANTS will meet with CITY <br />representatives as necessary throughout the duration of the <br />Project at mutually convenient times. <br /> <br />1.0.5 CONSULTANTS will attend an orientation with the San <br />Marcos Historic Preservation Commission and the National Register <br />Program staff of the Texas Historical Commission prior to <br />commencement of this Project. <br /> <br />1.0.6 CONSULTANTS will be available for interviews with the <br />media and interested groups and will present the survey findings <br />to the City Council at one meeting of the San Marcos City Council <br />to be determined by the CITY. <br />
