OTHERS PRESENT: Henry C. Kyle, Wayland Endsley, John Cooney, Kelly Franks, Bill Stonfeld. Chairman Arledge called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. Roll was called and a quorum was declared.~ ..-- HPC 95-07. Consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness from Wave Builders on behalf of David Seaton to construct a 10' x 16' detached, o?en-air car?ort at 1207 w. San Antonio st. . Chairman Arledge opened the floor to discussion. Mr. John Cooney spoke in favor of the application and submitted a revised design. No one spoke in opposition. Regarding the new design, Commissioner .Croft asked that the pickets be I1squared off" instead of pointed and that a horizontal trim be placed across the bottom of the pickets. She also asked that the carport be gray and trimmed in the same green as the house. COMMISSIONER SMITH MOVED TO APPROVE HPC 95-07 WITH THE NEW DESIGN AND CHANGES RECOMMENDED BY COMMISSIONER CROFT. COMMISSIONER CANTU SECONDED THE MOTION. ROLL WAS CALLED AND THE MOTION PASSED 6-0. HPC 95-08. Consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness from Henry Kvle, Sr. to install an awning and a 12' x 5' attached siqn at 118, 118 1/2, 120 N. LBJ Dr. Chairman Arledge opened the floor to discussion. Mr. Henry Kyle and Ms. Kelly Franks spoke in favor of the application. No on spoke in opposition. COMMISSIONER CROFT MOVED TO APPROVE HPC 95-08. COMMISSIONER CANTU SECONDED THE MOTION. ROLL WAS CALLED AND THE MOTION PASSES 6-0. Consider proposals for the Historio Resources Survey of the Dunbar and East Guadalupe street Neiqhborhoods and make a raccmmcu1aticn to ~ity Ccuncil. Chairman Arledge opened the floor to discussion. Ms. Jenise Walton discussed the basis of the staff's recommendation. COMMISSIONER SMITH MOVED TO RECOMMEND THE PROPOSAL BY NEWLAND i KNIGHT FOR THE HISTORIC RESOURCES SURVEY TO THE CITY COUNCIL. COMMISSIONER SCOTT SECONDED THE MOTION. ROLL WAS CALLED AND THE MOTION PASSED 6-0.
