<br /> !I,A- <br /> preliminary design, and cost estimate; <br /> (6) perform internal review of report and finalize; and <br /> (7) submit preliminary engineering report to the CITY for review and <br /> approval. <br /> 1.2.3 The ENGINEER will assemble a Project team comprised of the City's <br /> representative, the ENGINEER, Southwest Texas Aviation's representativ~ and a firm <br /> representative from each major consulting discipline. The ENGINEER will meet with the <br /> Project team representatives to set the design and production schedule and parameters <br /> for all subsequent work, to verify the components within which all Project participants must <br /> perform, and to identify all parties and significant deadlines involved in the comprehensive <br /> schedule strategy. Based on this information, the ENGINEER will prepare a detailed <br /> schedule of its work for the Project addressing each component of the work to be done, <br /> indicating the points of involvement of all project participants. The ENGINEER will conduct <br /> weekly progress meetings between the Project team and the Contractor. <br /> 1.3 PHASE 2 - DESIGN DEVELOPMENT, CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br /> DOCUMENTATION AND BIDDING <br /> 1.3.1 Design Development <br /> Based on the CITY's approval of the scope of work and the schematic design <br /> documents prepared under Subsection 1.2.2 of this Agreement, the ENGINEER will <br /> prepare, for review and approval by the CITY, final design drawings, and other documents <br /> for the Project which will include site plans; floor plans; building elevations; structural <br /> system plans; mechanical, electrical, plumbing and lighting system layouts as needed; <br /> utility connection plans; and drainage plans. The ENGINEER will also prepare outline <br /> specifications which define all material types and finishes to be used. The ENGINEER will <br /> design all improvements in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA") <br /> Accessibility Guidelines. <br /> 1.3.2 The ENGINEER will revise the written opinions of probable construction cost and <br /> submit a final Project cost estimate prior to bidding of the Project. <br /> 1.3.3 The ENGINEER will perform additional soils investigation as required at no <br /> additional cost to CITY. <br /> 1.3.4 Construction Contract Documents <br /> Based on the approved design development documents and any further <br /> adjustments authorized by the CITY in the scope, quality or budget of the Project, the <br /> ENGINEER will prepare construction contract documents using forms supplied by the <br /> CITY. These contract documents will include detailed plans and technical specifications <br /> required for the Project to be accurately bid and efficiently constructed. <br />
