RESOLUTION 2012 -164R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY AND BARRY STROCK CONSULTING ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR <br />THE PROVISION OF A PAYROLL -HUMAN RESOURCES NEEDS <br />ASSESSMENT AND SOFTWARE PROCUREMENT REQUEST FOR <br />PROPOSALS PROJECT IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $99,800.00 <br />WHICH INCLUDES AN INCREASE OF $49,900.00 ABOVE THE <br />PREVIOUS CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $49,900.00; RATIFYING THE <br />CITY MANAGER'S EXECUTION OF THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />1. On November 21, 2011, the City entered into an agreement with Barry Strock <br />Consulting Associates, Inc. (the "Consultant ") for the provision of professional services in <br />connection with a Payroll -Human Resources Needs Assessment and Software Procurement <br />Request for Proposals Project (the "Agreement ") in a fixed fee amount of $49,500.00. <br />2. Subsequent to the approval of the Agreement, the City approved Authorization of <br />Change in Services ( "ACES ") No. 1 for $400.00 on February 8, 2012. <br />3. The Consultant has submitted, for the City's approval, ACIS No. 2 for the <br />extension of the Agreement and the provision of additional services in the fixed fee amount of <br />$49,900.00. <br />4. The approval of Authorization of Change in Services No. 2 will cause the <br />Agreement to exceed the previous Agreement amount of $49,900.00, and will trigger the need <br />for City Council approval of the Agreement. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The Agreement between the City and the Consultant, dated November 21, <br />2012 for the provision of professional services in connection with a Payroll -Human Resources <br />Needs Assessment and Software Procurement Request for Proposals Project in the total amount <br />of $99,800.00, which includes an increase of $49,900.00 above the previous contract amount of <br />$49,900.00, is approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager's execution of the Agreement on behalf of the City is <br />ratified. <br />PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />1 <br />
