:Ç S- /f/ -> > B. INST ALL>P.ARAMETERS Certain parameters are not under direct library control and must be set or modified by trained DYNIX staff. Such install parameters are set forth in the Preinstall Guide. THE CITY, with guidance from DYNIX. will choose how these parameters are to be set prior to installation. However, THE CITY shall have ninety (90) days from the initial training on each module to request modifications to the install parameters for that module at no additional charge. This does not include MARC MAP PARAMETERS in Section 19.C. below. Install parameters include changing or adding search display s<:r~ns. fields on patron and item records, and so on. Following the time period for requesting modifications or after THE CITY has made a set of modifications for a given module, subsequent modifications will be billable at DYNIX's then published rates for hourly custom programming. C. MARC MAP PARAMETERS Parameters for loading. indexing, displaying and outputting MARC records are controlled by the MARC ~1AP PARA~IETERS. THE CITY shal! choose one of the default map tables in the Preinstal! Guide for the initial bibliographic data load. This d~s not include holdings record creation (copy, location, call number identification, etc.) which will be custom programmed. After the initial load, THE CITY may request one remap of the MARC MAP PARAMETERS at no additional cost. Remap requests shall be submitted to DYNIX on the appropriate DYNIX forms. Additional remaps shall be billable at DYNIX's then published rates. D. SOFTW ARE ENHANCEMENTS AND NEW RELEASES DYNIX may provide. from time to time as part of the Maintenance Agr~ment. modifications of the construction and/or design of the Equipment and/or the licensed Software. Should DYNIX change the software capabilities ~yond those required as part of this Agr~ment, it is the optiòn of THE CITY to acce::pt or r~í~t the:: installation and use of the software changes. 'Should THE CITY choose to acCèpt the new software. DYNIX will provide THE CITY the necessary installation software and THE CITY shall be able to install the said modifications at their convenience. DYNIX personnel will be available during normal business hours for consultation should THE CITY encounter difficulty installing the modifications. In the event that DYNIX provides such modifications to THE CITY, DYNIX shall supply documentation which shall be sufficient for the use and operation of the System by THE CITY. Should THE CITY dect to install and use the added software functions or capabilities, THE CITY shall be responsible for the costs associated with the purchase, installation and maintenance of the computer hardware necessary to operate same. If THE CITY does not elect to instal! and use the software functions or capabilities. then such enhancements or improvements will not be required and DYNIX will continue to provide hardware and software maintenance as prescribed in this Agreèment for a period of at least two (2) years. After such time THE CITY may elect to continue maintenance under an Agr~ment to be' negotiated at that time. THE CITY understands that all rdeases must be installed separately and that new enhancements, and some bug tixes, are not made available without accepting such releases. 20. MAINTENANCE DYNIX and THE CITY hereby enter into an agr~ment for maintenance of the System described in the Maintenance Agr~ment attached hereto as Rider J for corrective, remedial. and preventive maintenance for Equipment and Software.
