-- r )6]) PREVAILING WAGE RATES All current Federal and State of Texas wage laws shall be complied with, including Article SlS9a, as amended, Texas Revised Civil Statutes. The Contractor shall pay all laborers, workers and mechanics of all skills employed at the site to perform work not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the work is performed, and not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for legal holiday and overtime work. The Owner has ascertained the general prevailing rate for each craft or type of worker or mechanic needed to execute the Contract and the rates are included in this schedule. The Contractor shall forfeit as a penalty to Owner $60.00 for each laborer, worker or mechanic employed, for each calendar day or portion thereof such laborer, worker or mechanic is paid less that the prevailing wage rates set forth in these contract documents. The Contractor shall be required to keep an accurate record showing the names and occupations of all laborers, workers and mechanics employed by it in connection with this Contract and showing also the actual per diem wages paid to each of the workers. The record shall be open at all reasQnable hours to the inspection of the Owner. The Owner may require the Contractor to file an affidavit for each payroll that such payroll is a true and accurate report of the full wages due and paid to each person employed by the Contractor. Compensation for the performance of overtime work"by persons in the classifications listed in this wage rate schedule will be at the rate of 1 1/2 times the rate shown for each classification. Compensation for the performace of work on state legal holidays by persons in the classifications listed in the schedule will be at the rç.te of 1.5 times the rate shown for each such classification.
