<br /> -- <br /> r )6]) <br /> PREVAILING WAGE RATES <br /> All current Federal and State of Texas wage laws shall <br /> be complied with, including Article SlS9a, as amended, Texas <br /> Revised Civil Statutes. The Contractor shall pay all <br /> laborers, workers and mechanics of all skills employed at the <br /> site to perform work not less than the general prevailing <br /> rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character in the <br /> locality in which the work is performed, and not less than <br /> the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for legal <br /> holiday and overtime work. The Owner has ascertained the <br /> general prevailing rate for each craft or type of worker or <br /> mechanic needed to execute the Contract and the rates are <br /> included in this schedule. The Contractor shall forfeit as a <br /> penalty to Owner $60.00 for each laborer, worker or mechanic <br /> employed, for each calendar day or portion thereof such <br /> laborer, worker or mechanic is paid less that the prevailing <br /> wage rates set forth in these contract documents. The <br /> Contractor shall be required to keep an accurate record <br /> showing the names and occupations of all laborers, workers <br /> and mechanics employed by it in connection with this Contract <br /> and showing also the actual per diem wages paid to each of <br /> the workers. The record shall be open at all reasQnable hours <br /> to the inspection of the Owner. The Owner may require the <br /> Contractor to file an affidavit for each payroll that such <br /> payroll is a true and accurate report of the full wages due <br /> and paid to each person employed by the Contractor. <br /> Compensation for the performance of overtime work"by persons <br /> in the classifications listed in this wage rate schedule will <br /> be at the rate of 1 1/2 times the rate shown for each <br /> classification. Compensation for the performace of work on <br /> state legal holidays by persons in the classifications listed <br /> in the schedule will be at the rç.te of 1.5 times the rate <br /> shown for each such classification. <br /> I. <br />
