The maintenance interval may be reduced or increased depend~~g <br />upon: <br />A. History of the type regulator. <br />B. Regulator loading. <br /> <br />II. Inspect regulator and associa.ted hardware for damage or excessive <br />wear. Repai~ or replace as needed. <br /> <br />III. Verify proper operation as set forth in the regulator <br />manufacturer's instruction book and service bulletins. <br /> <br />IV. Measure the turns ratio over the range of the regulator. <br /> <br />V. Measure contact resistance. <br /> <br />VI. Perform the following oil tests: <br />A. Interfacial tension. <br />B. Dielectric breakdown. <br /> <br />VII. Inspect the bushings and cl,ean if needed. <br /> <br />VIII. Paint if needed. <br /> <br />IX. Verify continuity between the grounds on the regulator and the <br />structures in the regulator bay and a structure not associated <br />with the regulator bay. <br /> <br />X.
