On February 2 2, 1994, the Zoning Commission of the City of <br /> San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the <br /> zoning from "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business <br /> District to "R-2" single-Family Dwelling District (Medium Density) <br /> for a 0.17'acre tract of property located at 735 Martin Luther <br /> King Drive. <br /> 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Zoning <br /> commission did, on February 22, 1994 consider the request and voted <br /> to approve and has recommended that the request be approved by the <br /> city Council of the city. <br /> , <br /> 3. The city Council held a public hearing on the 11th day <br /> of April , 1994, regarding the request. <br /> 4. All requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning Ordinance, <br /> of the Code of Ordinances of the city of San Marcos pertaining to <br /> amendments have been met. <br /> 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the <br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as <br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance, is hereby <br /> amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br /> zoned "M" single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District <br /> to "R-2" single-Family Dwelling District (Medium Density): <br /> Street address: 735 Martin Luther King Drive <br /> <br /> Size: 0.17 acre <br /> Leqal description: NW ~ of Lot I of the B.W. Breeding <br /> Addition. <br /> Deed or plat reference: Volume 0, page 202, Hays County <br /> Deed Records. <br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) <br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to <br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting <br /> following its passage, and provided that the Council did not vote <br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on April 25, 1994it shall be <br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if <br /> approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not <br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of April , 1994, <br /> subject to reconsideration at the next regular city Council meeting <br /> scheduled for April 25, 1994 . <br />
