On March 1,1994, the Zoning commission of the City of San <br /> Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the <br /> zoning from "TH-1" Townhouse Residential District to "R-l" Single- <br /> Family Dwelling District (Low Density) for a 0.43 acre tract of <br /> property loc~ted on the Northwest side of the 700 Block of San <br /> Antonio Street. <br /> 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the zoning <br /> commission did, on March 1, 1994 consider the request and voted to <br /> approve and has recommended that the request be approved by the <br /> City Council of the city. <br /> . <br /> 3. The city Council held a public hearing on the 11th day <br /> of ADril , 1994, regarding the request. <br /> 4. All requirements of Appendix A, General zoning Ordinance, <br /> of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to <br /> amendments have been met. <br /> 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the <br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the Official zoning Map of the city, as <br /> described in section 3 of the General zoning Ordinance, is hereby <br /> amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br /> zoned "TH-l" Townhouse Residential District to "R-l" Single-Family <br /> Dwelling District(Low Density): <br /> Street address: The Northwest side of 700 block of San <br /> AntQnio Street. <br /> Size: 0.43 acre <br /> Leqal description: Lot 1, and a portion of Lots 3, 4, 5 <br /> and 6, BIMMS Addition, a metes and bounds description of <br /> which is attached as Exhibit A. <br /> Deed or plat reference: Volume 3, page 381, Hays County <br /> Plat Records. <br /> ! SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) <br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to <br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting <br /> following its passage, and provided that the Council did not vote <br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on Apirl 25, 199~t shall be <br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if <br /> approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not <br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of April 1994, <br /> , <br /> subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting <br />
