<br /> :E ::¡- ~§ <br /> o~ ç¡- 19 <br /> a- ¡:::;¡¡¡ <br /> IU~ - f::Y;1;i <br /> - <br /> uò s. @~ <br /> 0 <br /> _.~ .-.- en..... <br /> <::I <br /> 0- F=b <br /> ~~;¡ 0::::;: <br /> ë3C3 ORDINANCE 1994- 30 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE 1994-12, <br /> WHICH ORDERED A JOINT GENERAL AND SPECIAL ELECTION <br /> BY THE CITY AND THE SAN MARCOS CONSOLIDATED <br /> INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT TO BE HELD ON MAY 7, <br /> 1994 TO CHANGE THE APPOINTMENT OF A PRESIDING <br /> JUDGE FOR THE EARLY VOTING BALLOT BOARD; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That SECTION 13 of Ordinance 1994-12 is amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> .' <br /> SECTION 13. All early votes and other votes to be processed <br /> in accordance with early voting procedures pursuant to <br /> the Texas Election Code shall be delivered to the Early <br /> Voting Ballot Board at city Hall Council Chambers, 630 E. <br /> Hopkins Street in the city in accordance with the <br /> Election Code. The Early Voting Ballot Board shall consist <br /> of Presiding Judge Vannis Mathews and Alternate Judge <br /> Delia Lucio. Early votes shall be counted at the central <br /> counting station. The Early Voting Ballot Board shall <br /> perform in accordance with applicable provisions of the <br /> Election Code. <br /> SECTION 2. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an <br /> emergency and an imperative public necessity so that the provisions <br /> of the Charter requiring that ordinances shall be presented at <br /> three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become <br /> effective until the expiration of ten (10) days following the date <br /> of its final passage be suspended, and these provisions are hereby <br /> suspended, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full <br /> force and effect from and after its adoption and after its <br /> publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the City <br /> as provided by the City Charter of the City of San Marcos. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of April , 1994. <br /> l~~s' ~ <br /> Mayor <br /> 051;; ~~ w: Ø/~ Mf'J <br /> k-'anis K.
