'::E:. ~.2:' TEXAS, CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF A « ü:;s BOND ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON MAY 7, ]994; CONTAINING OTHER PROVISIONS INCIDENT AND RELATED TO THE PURPOSE HEREOF; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas (the "City") du~y authorized an election to be held within the City on May 7, 1994, for the purpose of submitting to the resident qualified electors of the City the proposition hereinafter set forth; WHEREAS, this City Council has investigated all matters pertaining to said election; and WHEREAS, the election officers who held said election have duly made the returns of the results thereof, and said returns have heen duly delivered to this City Council; Now, Therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS: Section 1. Findings. It is officially found and determined that said election was duly ordered, that proper notice thereof was duly given, that proper election oftïcers were duly appointed prior to said election, that said election was duly and lawfully held, that due returns of the result of said election have been made and delivered, and that this City Council has duly canvassed said returns, all in accordance with law and the Ordinance calling said election. Section 2. Canvass Aporoved. The tabulation of votes cast in said election, made and certified to by the City Secretary of the City, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby adopted as the official tabulation of the votes cast at said election, and this ordinance with said tabulation attached shall be fùed and recorded in the official records of the City as the oftïcial canvass of the election. Section 3. Results Declared. It is oftïciaUy found and determined that the following votes were cast at said election on the submitted proposition by the resident qualified electors of the City who voted at said election: PROPOSITION THE ISSUANCE OF $5,300,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION 921 YOTES: FOR BONDS FOR COMMUNITY ACTIYITY CENTER 903 YOTES: AGAINST Section 4. Bonds Aurhorized.
