On March 29, 1994, the Zoning Commission of the city of <br /> San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the <br /> zoning from "M" Multi-Family, Duplex, and Neighborhood Business <br /> District to' "C" Commercial District and "LB" Limited Business <br /> District for a 0.449 acre tract of property located at 1201 <br /> Cheatham Street. <br /> 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Zoning <br /> Commission did, on March 29, 1994 consider the request and voted to <br /> approve and has recommended that the request be approved by the <br /> City Council of the city. . <br /> 3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 23rò day <br /> of May , 1994, regarding the request. <br /> 4. All requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning Ordinance, <br /> of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to <br /> amendments have been met. <br /> 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the <br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the Off icial Zoning Map of the City, as <br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance, is hereby <br /> amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br /> zoned "M" Single-Family, Duplex, and Neighborhood Business District <br /> to "C" Commercial District: <br /> Street address: 1201 Cheatham Street. <br /> Size: 0.094 acre <br /> Leqal description: See attached Exhibit A. <br /> <br /> Deed or plat reference: Volume 161, page 116, Hays <br /> County Deed Records. <br /> SECTION 2.
