On May 3, 1994, the Zoning commission of the city of San <br /> Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the <br /> zoning from "M" Single-Family, Duplex, and Neighborhood Business <br /> District to"P" Public and Institutional District for a tract of <br /> property 1.27 acres in size, more or less, located on the southeast <br /> side of the 700 Block of Valley Street. <br /> 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Zoning <br /> commission did, on May 3, 1994 consider the request and voted to <br /> approve and has recommended that the request be approved by the <br /> city council of the city. < <br /> 3. The city Council held a public hearing on the 13th day <br /> of June , 1994, regarding the request. <br /> 4. All requirements of Appendix A, General zoning Ordinance, <br /> of the Code of Ordinances of the city of San Marcos pertaining to <br /> amendments have been met. <br /> 5. The city Council hereby finds and determines that the <br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the <br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the Official zoning Map of the City, as <br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance, is hereby <br /> amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br /> zoned "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District <br /> to "P" Public and Institutional District: <br /> Street address: Southeast Side of the 700 Block of <br /> Valley Street. <br /> Size: 1.27 acres, more or less. <br /> Legal description: See attached Exhibit A. <br /> Deed or plat reference: <br /> Volume 339, page 177, Hays County Deed Records <br /> Volume 292, page 602, Hays County Deed Records <br /> Volume 292, page 379, Hays County Deed Records <br /> Volume 294, page 120, Hays County Deed Records <br /> Volume 291, page 394, Hays County Deed Records <br /> Volume 293, page 762, Hays County Deed Records <br /> SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) <br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to <br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting <br /> following its passage, and provided that the Council did not vote <br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on June 27, 1994 it shall be <br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if <br /> approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not <br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of <br />
