AN ORD INA1\ICE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS CHANGING THE NAME OF LIVE OAK STREET TO ACORN STREET BETWEEN NORTH L.B.J. DRIVE AND CHESTNUT STREET¡ PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: l. On May lO, 1994 the Planning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the name of Live Oak Street between North L.B.J. Drive and Chestnut Street to Acorn Street. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning Commission did, on May lO, 1994, approve the request and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 27th day of June , 1994 regarding the request; and, 4. All requirements of Chapter 25 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to street name changes have been met. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the street name for Live Oak Street between North L.B.J. Drive and Chestnut Street is hereby changed to Acorn Street. SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading June 27, 1994. PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading July 11, 1994.
