- Õ/)~ -8- this Agreement is necessary for all additional services the compensation for which exceeds $15,000. Additional services will include resident project representation beyond that provided as a part of Basic Services and construction staking. ARTICLE 2 THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES 2.1 The CITY will provide full information to the ENGINEER regarding requirements for the Project. Such information will - include the CITY's conceptual master plan for the Project, and the CITY's design objectives, constraints and criteria. , 2.2 The CITY will provide a budget for the Project which will include contingencies for bidding, changes in the work during construction, and other costs which are the responsibility of the CITY, including those described in this Article 2 and in Subsection 3.1. 2. The ENGINEER will accept the CITY's authorizatiOn to bid the Project as evidence that arrangements exist for fulfillment of the financial obligations assumed by the CITY hereunder. 2.3 The CITY will designate a representative authorized to act in the CITY's behalf with respect to the Project. The CITY and/or such authorized representative will examine the documents submitted by the ENGINEER and will render res~onses pertaining thereto promptly and provide ENGINEER with requested data or information in CITY's possession relating to the Project. 2.4 The CITY will provide access to and make all necessary provisions for the ENGINEER to enter upon public and private property as required for the ENGINEER to perform its services under this Agreement. 2.5 The CITY will furnish all legal, accounting and insurance counseling services as may be necessary at any time for the proj ect, including such auditing s,ervices as the CITY may require to ascertain how or for what purposes the Contractor used the money paid by or on behalf of the CITY. 2.6 The CITY will furnish required information and services and will render responses and conduct its review of written materials as expeditiously as possible. 2.7 The CITY will pay all costs incident to obtaining bids or proposals from Contractors (e.g., legal notice requirements and the provision of the City facilities for necessary conferences). 2.8 The CITY will either direct the ENGINEER to perform any Additional Services necessary to complete the Project or will furnish those services itself. 2.9 The CITY will pay all fees for filing and processing permits in connection with the Project.
