72. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003 - 1/,6 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, EXPRESSING THE CITY'S <br />COMMITMENT TO FUNDING AND SUPPORT FOR THE <br />INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER PRETREATMENT PROGRAM; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City has proposed to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality ("TCEQ") <br />a substantial modification to the City's industrial wastewater pretreatment program (the <br />"Pretreatment Progranf'). <br /> <br /> 2. TCEQ requires that the City submit a resolution committing to funding and support for <br />the Pretreatment Program in connection with the substantial modification. <br /> <br /> 3. Funding for the Pretreatment Program is proposed in the 2003-04 City Budget at the full <br />level requested by the Water and Wastewater Department. <br /> <br /> 4. The City Council wishes to express the City's commitment to funding and support for <br />the Pretreatment Program in compliance with the TCEQ requirement. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> PART 1. The City Council hereby reaffirms to TCEQ the commitment of the City to <br />funding and support for the Pretreatment Program. <br /> <br /> PART 2.
