-::::t-- .~, ~ ~ 9 0 Q~ cr- <~¡ ~ ~ tr~ fJ1~ .;-- 0:::. , -I-o N ~~i -rJ c:; ~ 'S' U-':.;, :2 ~~ ~. ~Q ORDINANCE 1994- ~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A TRACT OF PROPERTY 0.1 ACRE IN SIZE, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED AT 215 JACKMAN STREET FROM "M" SINGLE- FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS, DISTRICT TO "R-2" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (MEDIUM DENSITY) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. On August 2, 1994, the zoning Commission of the city of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "M" single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District to "R-2" single-Family Dwelling District (Medium Density) for a tract of property 0.1 acre in size, more or less, located at 215 Jackman Street. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the zoning commission did, on August 2, 1994, consider the request and voted to approve and has recommended that the request be approved by the city Council of the City. ~ 3. The city Council held a public hearing on the 12th day of September, 1994, regarding the request. 4. All requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to amendments have been met. 5. The city Council finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Official zoning Map of the city, as described in section 3 of the General zoning Ordinance, is amended to rezone the following real property which is presently zoned "Mil Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District to "R-2" Single-Family Dwelling District (Medium Density): Street address: 215 Jackman Street. size: 0.1 acres, more or less. Leqal description: See attached Exhibit A. Deed or plat reference: Volume 685, Page 669, Hays County Deed Records. SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting following its passage, and provided that the Council did not vote to reconsider it. If reconsidered on September 26, 199~ shall be in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this12th day of September, 1994, subject to reconsideration at the next regular city Council meeting scheduled for September 26, 1994.
