<br /> 10/17 <br /> Attachment 3 - Cerfijicaiion of Funding Commitment 94 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1994 - 29R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE ALLOCATION <br /> OF 1994 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br /> (CDBG). FUNDING¡ AUTHORIZING THE CITY M..1\NAGER <br /> TO ACT AS THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE <br /> CITY TO ACT IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE <br /> GRANT PROG~~~ AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. 1994 is San Marcos' first year of <br /> eligibility as an entitlement city unàer the Community <br /> Development Block Grant ( CDBG) program aàministered by the <br /> U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). <br /> 2. The City has received notice from HUD <br /> that will allow it to move forwarà on the funàing of specific <br /> authorizeà programs. <br /> 3. The City's Human Services Aàvisorv Board <br /> serveà as a public hearing boày for funàing requesès from the <br /> community for the use of the CDBG entitlement funds. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF S A..1\T <br /> ~LJl.RCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the allocation of 1994 CDBG funàing as <br /> described in the "Proposeà Funding" column on the spreaàsheet <br /> which is attacheà to and incorporated in this Resolution is <br /> approved. ' <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is <br /> designateà as the official representative of _the City anà is <br /> authorized to act in all matters relateà to the submission of <br /> the final statement, amenàments to the final statement, all <br /> understanàings and assurances contained in the final <br /> statement and to provide additional information as requireà <br /> on behalf of the City. ¿:- <br /> <" <br /> PART 3.
